Back in history Hampstead was seen as a resort, a place to escape to, breathe good air and drink clean water away from the chaos and Pollution of central London, this is why Hampstead is also coined as “The  Vale of health “

Hampstead has had many famous residents, particularly those from an arts and culture background, Constable lived here as did Keats, Daphne De Maurier, and Robert Louis Stephenson. Contemporary artists like George Michael and Boy George lived here too.
It’s a bohemian part of London, a place of characters and eccentrics.
